Paper Quiz Beta: one phone for the teacher
Open Paper Quiz from Classroom, select an existing class and a multiple-choice question set from My Library. Print the reusable answer cards. Project the questions on your computer while scanning the cards in your phone browser. Students turn their card to choose A, B, C or D; they do not need a device. No teacher app installation is required.
Review the scanned answers before closing each question. The leaderboard awards one point per correct answer, with equal ranks for equal scores. Answer speed does not affect the score. Final results are shown in the session; answer history and camera frames are not saved, and the activity does not award Classroom Gold.
Free includes 2 sessions per month, up to 30 pupils, 15 questions and 20 minutes per session. Pro and Early Bird include 20 sessions per month, up to 60 pupils, 40 questions and 40 minutes. Each teacher can have one active session. Beta sessions also have a shared capacity limit; a new session may need to wait. Try a small group first to check card visibility, lighting and your phone camera.
Choose homework, a play link or a class game room
- Homework: assign a compatible game and multiple-choice questions with answer keys. Students complete the assigned questions independently; teachers can review results and set completion rewards.
- Free play links: send independent practice without student sign-in, saved results or Gold rewards.
- Class game rooms: share a compatible game for 1–8 students, within its supported player count. Teachers can observe automatic multiple-choice grading. Open answers require the teacher to join and confirm answers. Some games use a shared board; others run a separate game for each student.
These choices now have separate entry points in Classroom. Preview questions and answer keys before assigning, find games by play style and cover image, and edit, close or reopen assignments when needed. Student picker games remain classroom tools.
Less setup, more time with the class
Quick add students lets you paste a class list instead of entering each pupil separately. Your saved roster is still available. Classroom points and Gold connect everyday learning with each student’s Little City, within the limits of your plan.
Quick Import now includes a downloadable CSV template, local file checking and a preview of questions and answers. Use 2–4 choices with one correct answer, or a teacher-graded oral question. Save Excel or Google Sheets as CSV UTF-8 first. Importing does not save a set automatically; review it and press Save Set. The existing text format remains available.
